GENMAICHA Green Tea from Japan


Genmaicha is a traditional Japanese blend of green tea and popped rice.

Deep in the hills of Japan's Shizuoka prefecture is a beautiful farm belonging to the Kinezuka family. Toshiaki-san is a pioneer in organic tea farming and has been connecting people and nature through all-natural tea since 1976.

The farm is now being led by Toshiaki's eldest daughter, Ayumi Kinezuka. Her passion is to keep Japanese tea traditions alive, while also gaining knowledge from other tea traditions. She studied black tea production in Sri Lanka and works alongside her father, mother, younger brother, and younger sister on the farm.
